Although the Scottish band Primal Scream started out as an indie-pop group, over the course of four decades they have literally become musical chameleons. They are constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible—they aren’t afraid to blend post-punk riffs with gospel melodies or even jazz. The album *Screamadelica* remains a defining milestone for them, a hedonistic collision of club culture and rock roots.
